Over the course of our lives we are have likely faced – or know someone who has faced – mental illness. And chances are you will need to be there to help a friend in their time of need. What can you do? What should you do?
Here are some practical do’s and don’ts to keep in mind. Sometimes you can say all the right things and they might still be wrong. Your friend may not feel better because of what you said, but guess what? Sometimes being a good friend is enough, and all that you can do.
