headversity, an industry-leading mental health and resilience platform, announced a multi-year partnership with The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). The partnership further solidifies headversity’s market leadership in the industrial sector, where it works with industry leaders such as Shell, Enmax, Trimac Transportation, and Fortis BC.
“Just like taking care of our physical health, it’s important to mind our mental health too,” says Clayton Davis, executive director of Human Resources with NAIT. “Partnering with headversity will enable NAIT staff and students to build and strengthen their resilience skills and learn new ways to manage stressful situations. I look forward to being part of this important opportunity.”
headversity CEO, Dr. Ryan Todd, spoke to the significance of adding a major educational partner in NAIT.
“Our work with large industry partners really begins in this educational setting with leading institutions like SAIT, Bow Valley College, and now NAIT,” said Dr. Todd. “These organizations are crafting the next generation of the workforce, and our partnership really emphasizes the importance of arming young people with good, sustainable mental health and resilience habits early on in their professional lives as they transition to their careers. We’re excited to kick things off with NAIT.”
“With the pandemic changing many aspects of our world, resilience is more important than ever,” says alison lewis, associate vice-president of Polytechnic Education and Student Success with NAIT. “We believe resilience is strengthened when there is a team approach and we’re excited to see what happens when students and staff are both engaged in resilience training.”
headversity launched with NAIT staff at the end of September and launched to students on October 8th to coincide with Mental Illness Awareness Week.
