headversity Announces Partnership with London Drugs to Support Employee Health & Safety

headversity is excited to announce a new partnership with London Drugs, bringing preventative training on mental health and psychological safety across their 79 stores and more than 9,000 employees across Canada.
A key focus from London Drugs in working with a partner was meeting The National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.
“The pandemic has challenged our mental health in unimaginable ways and London Drugs wanted to provide a suite of preventative tools to help employees who are dealing with daily stressors before reaching crisis or burnout,” said Clint Mahlman, President and COO of London Drugs. “Our employees’ health and safety is of utmost importance to us. By meaningfully engaging our busy and dispersed workforce, we hope to improve employee health and safety, while ensuring consistent training and messaging by leaders and managers across all London Drugs stores in Western Canada. headversity offers a skill-based approach to enhance workplace culture and improve mental wellbeing and resilience.”
A core criterion from London Drugs was partnering with a provider that had a comprehensive workforce solution that enables their leadership team to support employee wellbeing. Further to that, training will cover topics such as mental, emotional, and psychological safety, among others.
“It’s clear that the London Drugs leadership team deeply cares about their employees and their safety. We’re thrilled to partner with a purpose-driven organization and leverage our technology to support mental health and psychological safety across their entire workforce,” says Jason Gotwalt, VP of Growth at headversity.
The new partnership offers London Drugs employees access to headversity’s industry blended learning model of TEAM training and SOLO app, bringing group-based learning and private, personalized tools for each employee. In combination, London Drugs learners have access to upskilling resources to build resilience and psychological safety to better manage their mental wellbeing.
This partnership gives London Drugs employees access to headversity’s robust library of on-demand and personalized tools that are specifically built for the workforce. Some of these features include:
Most importantly, London Drugs employees have 24/7, anywhere/anytime access to headversity’s training, empowering the total workforce with tools to manage their mental wellbeing and get ahead of adversity.
Employee mental health was an urgent challenge well before the pandemic, but the past few years have intensified the urgency for employers to act. Once seen as an issue that needed to be addressed for a small fraction of the workforce, employers are now coming to understand the scope of mental health spans the total workforce.
“Our goal is to be the best business partner for mental health. We strongly believe that there’s no such thing as an out-of-the-box solution that will meaningfully address workforce mental health and psychological safety,” said Dr. Ryan Todd, co-founder and CEO of headversity. “There’s nuance and unique challenges for every organization. We’ve built award-winning programs based on two simple fundamentals: listening to organizations’ challenges and adapting with our technology. We are excited to welcome London Drugs to the headversity family, as they’re an organization that is clearly committed to being a market leader in supporting the health and safety of their employees.”
